For historical and cultural background we relied on various sources, including the official websites of the various cities and Wikipedia. We have done some effort by double checking to avoid historical errors. If you find a relevant mistake, please let us know.

While we do provide concise relevant information, we tried to make DiscoverFlanders.com a visual experience, with lots of pictures and videos.

Clearly, if you are visiting Europe, Flanders is as good a destinations as any other. The area is rather small, in the center of Europe, and with easy and convenient access to its historical and cultural cities. We personally visited all the cities covered by daytrips from our temporary residence in Leuven.
